I think the kitchen is one room that could use a deep clean every single week! However, mine doesn’t get that kind of treatment. But that was today’s challenge, so I was glad to dig in and get things in good order!
Sometimes it’s just the little things that make the difference between being okay and being clean!
Here’s each area of the kitchen Before followed by the After:
Before
This is my “command” center. Planner book, mail, etc. It needed attention. Also needed to creatively hide the lamp cord. |
After
A little basket with greenery took care of the exposed cord! |

Here’s what I mean about the little things – recipes I’ve used and stuck in this holder
needed to be put back into my recipe file.
Potholders needed to be laundered.
Crumbs under the microwave (how do they get there, anyway?)

Love it! It feels so good to accomplish each day’s task, then sit back and enjoy!
Do one little thing at a time if that’s all you have room for in your schedule. You will still be making progress! What did you accomplish at home today?
With love,
Denise

No problem. Thank you for your sweet comments about my kitchen; i love it. It seems like it's taken me so many years to get it just the way i like it. It's always a work in progress. 🙂

I did surface cleaning yesterday, but I'm noticing that having the main areas of my house stay clean, I'm starting to notice the little detail things more–like my oven and my utensil drawer!

It's good to be able to focus on the detailed places, isn't it? Great job!
