Summer Goals for Home

Things have been so busy this spring that I feel a little behind with projects at home!  So, I’ve made a little list of some ideas I’m hoping to get to. I’m sure these projects will take all summer, but I’m excited about them!  What am I hoping to do?  Well, things like…

  • Make Strawberry Freezer Jam Strawberry Freezer Jam ~ Freshen Up Friday | RefreshHer:
  • Add flowers to my flower boxesMake Your Garage Blend In:
  • Plant a climbing flower near the pergola peaceful & relaxing spot:
  • Add landscaping around my new patio areaSignature Concrete Design in Easton, PA - Concrete: Yellow Pages Goes Green ® 2016:
  • Paint my bookshelf.  I love the blue in the back of the shelves! I love the paint colors she used on this book shelf!!! Pin for later:
  • Paint my dining room this lovely blue! Traditional Blue Dining Room from Atlanta Homes Magazine. English French country traditional dining room.:

I think that should keep me busy all summer!

What plans do you have around your home for the summer months?

With love from my country home,

  1. That dining room color looks like my bedroom color, Wedgewood Gray by Benjamin Moore. I just love it as it is so serene. A friend of mine had painted her dining room that color and I thought it would be nice in my bedroom and I am so happy with it. Sometimes it is hard to find just the right shade of a color!!

    1. Thanks for the name of that shade! I will have to check that out before choosing my paint. You’re right, there are tons of Shades and variations of every color.

  2. I made your delicious waffle recipe for my husband and me this morning. Wow, so good and very easy to do. I sliced fresh strawberries to serve with them. Will be making freezer jam for sure this summer!
The recipe made 15 waffles, so as you suggested, I individually wrapped them and have them in the freezer for later. I used to do that when my boys were little. It was such a quick breakfast to pop them in the toaster. Thanks so much for the great recipe.

  3. Hi Denise –
I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading your blog (faithfully every day!) for months now and I look forward to your posts each day. What a blessing and an encouragement they all are! Your testimony – and wisdom from walking with the Lord – really are evident in each post. Thanks so much for sharing faithfully.

My husband and I are going to be “down South” this coming weekend – at a wedding over in Bristol…so, we thought we extend our visit and take a short vacation. That said, I told him “I think I know a great church we can attend on Sunday!” So, we are planning to be at Boones Creek:) I just thought I would “introduce” myself before I shake your hand on Sunday morning….ha!

I tried to contact you earlier – through Whitney’s blog but I do not have Facebook. No worries – but I didn’t want either one of you to think I’m a “stalker” or whatever they call blog followers who don’t comment. Ugh. Sorry about that – but both of your blogs really are a blessing!

I look forward to having a minute to say “hello” on Sunday morning! Take care –

    Jennifer

  4. I hope to get my pavers laid this summer and FINALLY finish this backyard work after 3 years! Last year we made it to a good stopping point, so if we don’t it’s still in a good place. 🙂
