Springtime usually inspires projects, and even if they’re little ones, isn’t it fun to see the improvements that are made?
I have been looking for pretty boxes to put on the top shelf of my closet that would hold out of season sweaters and tops, as well as purses and accessories. However, I didn’t want to spend $12-$15 on each box, since I was hoping to have three or four, at least. Then I saw an upcycling idea using a plain cardboard box, and I knew this would work for me!
I found two rolls of heavy wrapping paper that I thought would look pretty in my closet. They were $5 each on sale at Home Goods. I wanted the thicker paper so it wouldn’t rip easily. I tucked the lid flaps of the box inside, then covered all the sides, and the bottom. I wrapped it just like I would a present.
I used my first box to hold my small seasonal purses. It will be easy to access, and keep those little items from cluttering up my closet.
I plan to add at least two more to this shelf once I get my hands on the needed boxes. Surely there will be an Amazon order soon that will fit the bill!
I’m happy with how it’s turning out and I love that it only cost me $10!
What spring projects are you working on?
Enjoy refreshing your spaces!
