I’ll let these pictures tell part of the story of my recent trip to Nova Scotia. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing some of what the Lord taught me and some interesting events that happened while we were gone.
For now, enjoy these snapshots…
And we’re off!
Leaving Greenville, SC.
Starbucks makes a travel day better!
My sweet friend and traveling companion doing some studying.
We got to see a little of the pretty countryside of Nova Scotia.
We enjoyed the treat and knew we would need the caffeine!
Time to study and pray before the retreat began.
Registration ladies and sweet friends!
Looking good in her new outfit – explanation on tomorrow’s post!
Jayne, wife of the director of Forest Glen Bible Camp.
Praying with a new friend.
The meeting room was transformed into a banquet hall in about 20 minutes!
Game time! Put a paper plate on your head – now look at Denise and draw her profile! The results were hilarious!
Winner of the game was this sweet lady!
Reacquainted with this dear friend who has been reading my blog since I was there the last time in 2011. Thank you, Stephanie!
A great view of the Statue of Liberty as we entered NYC!
Inside the tunnel of the Detroit Airport.
View from inside the Detroit airport.
I was thrilled to find Sanders Fudge topping, made in Michigan. I enjoyed this as a child.
The view out the plane window is always sunny and breathtaking!
Looks like a fun trip. I look forward to hearing your stories of lessons learned. God can always teach us something new can’t He? And that skirt that your friend is wearing looks just like one I picked up for a song at Walmart and I wear it all the time. 🙂
Great pictures. They really give us a flavor of what your trip was like. Looking forward to hearing about the lessons learned. I love ladies’ retreats! There is always so much to be learned. Not to mention they’re a lot of fun!
And the tunnel in (or should I say under?) the Detroit airport … we’ve been there a number of times during stopovers on our trips to NV to see family. I’m not sure if the lighting in there is intended to resemble the Northern Lights, but that’s always what I think of when I see it.
Denise,
It was such a blessing to see you again, and to meet your friend Kellie! I’m so glad I had the chance to talk with her as well! As I was reading today’s blog, I scrolled down to look at the photos. I never expected to see a photo of the two of us. I must say that I got all choked up, hehe. It was a blessing to my heart! Thank you for that! 🙂

It was such a pleasure to meet you and talk with you. I enjoyed meeting all of the ladies on this trip!!! What a blessing it was to be with you all at the retreat 🙂 Thank you for being so kind and welcoming to a newcomer from Tennessee!
It was such a blessing to be able to hear you speak again, Denise. I still remember your herbs from the last time (it made such an impression) And I will definitely remember the mirrors from this year. Your teaching on Bathsheba was something I’d never heard before, and the session on Abigail was very convicting. Thank you for speaking to hearts.

It was a great time away – fun, educational, blessed, memorable, and eventful! Wal-Mart was indeed our shopping haven for our emergency run!
