Sometimes refreshment in the parsonage comes from a day away from the parsonage. Jesus told his disciples to come apart and rest a while. We all have to do that from time to time. Last week we headed to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was restful. It was beautiful. It was refreshing!
You pass through many tunnels on the parkway. They add to its beauty!
The higher we got, the more vivid the color became.

We went up on Mt. Mitchell. This is a view from the restaurant window.
We walked up on the overlook. Can you tell it was COLD? =) It was 45 degrees with a windchill that dropped it into the 30’s!
The clouds and sky made the views even more spectacular!
This just makes me want to say…
Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
