Productive Days

Recently a friend texted me at the end of the day and asked,

Did you have a productive day?

As I considered what I had accomplished in the day, I concurred, that, yes, it was! I continued to contemplate what I would consider a “productive day.” Actually the Proverb that I had read that morning truly describes a life that is full.

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

In verse two, “length of days” is actually referring to “fullness of days.” It’s a fulfilling life to walk with God and do His bidding each day. There’s truly no better way to live than to follow His Word!

As I considered what my productive days look like, I realized that there are six areas that I try to accomplish each day. There are often lots of other things that come into my schedule, but a day at home looks like this ~

Connecting with God. This is my first goal for each day. Time in God’s Word and prayer directs how I spend the rest of day. It keeps my thoughts on the right track. It allows me to lay at my Savior’s feet any burdens or concerns.
