Spend a Little Time With Friends

Even if you consider yourself a recluse, I think it’s true that God created us to need one another. We need to be with people. God’s demonstration of that was creating Eve for Adam. He needed a companion. A spouse is a wonderful answer to the need for companionship, but there are also so many other relationships that we should foster and for many reasons and benefits. Consider

  • Sharing their burdens
  • Laughing together
  • Learning to listen
  • Demonstrating compassion
  • Sharing the Truth of God’s Word, either with an unbeliever or a follower of Christ
  • Learning from them
  • Getting creative ideas
  • Giving help
My sisters and I were blessed to spend three days together this week. What a grace gift from the Lord!

Elevate Ordinary Days with Meaningful Connections

We’ve had a little time at home in between our meetings and we’ve stayed busy! But it wasn’t just busy for the sake of being busy. As I look back on the week, I see a definite theme.

I got to meet up and have lunch with my sweet friend. Days might be full, but we all need to make time for fellowship and friendship. I recently heard a message by Chuck Swindoll and he said,

“We come into church like marbles instead of grapes!”

In other words, we don’t let our lives mesh with others. I’m thankful for my grape friend who helps me not be a marble! Our time together enable us to connect far better than sending a text message! It was up close, personal and meaningful.
