Winter Tea time is here tonight! I’m so excited. I mentioned it on Friday’s post, but because of it, I have much to do, and not much time for extras like writing a long Monday post. I thought I’d just share with you what I’m taking for my part of the tea tonight…Scones. They are sweet biscuits – could it get any better than that? I think not!
The recipe I’m bringing was brought to my attention by my twin sis and fellow baker. She has a cooking blog you should check out – Dianne’s Recipe Box. She got this recipe from Ina Garten – Barefoot Contessa, who happens to be my favorite cook on the Food Network. This recipe is for Cranberry Orange Scones. They look fabulous – with the tangy taste of the dried Cranberries and the sweetness of the glaze. Mmm! I’m going to make mine tea-sized, so I’d say I’ll get a couple dozen at least from this recipe.
So, there you have it. These will be in the oven today, so if you smell the sweet smell of biscuits, stop in for a sample. Better yet, if you’re close enough to drop in, why don’t you just come to the Tea tonight at 7pm? We’re going to have a special time together! I hope I’ll see you then.
With love and a cup of tea,

Thanks for sharing my blog! The scones are so good. I sprinkled them with the sparkling sugar before baking. I made them tea-size also and I think I got about 35 out of the recipe. Praying for your ladies' tea tonight.

You're welcome! I used the sparkling sugar on my scones too. I had a few bottles left over from the wedding! I think I'll serve them with Orange marmalade.
Thanks for your prayers. We're looking for the Lord to do some great things!
