I LOVE my freezer. Ask my girls. They accuse me of freezing everything. But isn’t it great to know that you have an extra homemade pizza dough, pie crust, dozen cookies, cake layers, soup, stew, meatloaf, or casserole just needing to be thawed and eaten?
So let me suggest that you Freshen Up Friday by filling your freezer with something you would normally buy in the freezer section of the grocery store.
How about Frozen Hash Browns?
You bake the potatoes first. This keeps them from turning brown in the freezer.
Bake the potatoes. Let them cool slightly. Peel skins.
Shred the potatoes.
Place them on a baking sheet. Cover with syran wrap.
Place the pan in the freezer a couple of hours.
Place potatoes in Freezer bags.
You could also dice the potatoes or cut them into chunks and freeze them that way.
Another great thing to make for the freezer is Waffles. Bake them up, then let them cool. Place in freezer bags with waxed paper in between layers.
Money Saving Mom posted a recipe for frozen biscuit dough. I’m anxious to try them!
Do you freeze something I haven’t mentioned?
