I love books so much, and since I’ve discovered the LIbby App, that I told you about, I’ve been able to devour some great titles! I enjoy reading, but listening to audio books has enabled me to do tasks and “read” at the same time! What a blessing! I’ve enjoyed both fiction and nonfiction, mixing it up to keep me growing in my walk with God, and also having some other kind of books just for fun.
Here are the books I’ve borrowed so far:
- When Calls the Heart, by Janette Oake
- The Hiding Place, by Corrie Ten Boom
I’ve read this many times, and I’m always glad I refreshed it in my mind and heart! - Adopted for Life – Russell Moore
This book is obviously about adoption, but every believer would benefit from and love the truths he shares about our spiritual adoption. It will also help you know how to respond to others who are adopted, or to the parents of adopted children. So much wisdom! - Once Upon a Summer, by Janette Oake
This was a re-read, too, simply because it’s SO good! - The Ebb Tide, by Beverly Lewis
Another great fiction book. I had not read this, but was glad I did! - Sanctuary, by Beverly Lewis
This had a bit of mystery to it, something I don’t really read, but I enjoyed it! - Trusting God, by Jerry Bridges
Every Christian should read this!! - Beginners Watercolor, Pavillion
Kind of hard to follow on a screen. I think I need a hard copy of this one! - Gentle and Lowly, by Dane Ortland
I’m nearly finished with this one and I want to listen to it again. Its truths are deep and heart-penetrating as the author teaches about the nature of Christ and of our Heavenly Father. It makes me want to fall down and worship!
I read nine books in June and July, and I’ve been so enriched by it!
What are you currently reading? I love getting good suggestions!
Refresh yourself with good books!

I am reading Once Upon a Summer right now. It is very enjoyable. I plan to continue on with the series during each season…The Winds of Autumn, Winter Is Not Forever and Spring’s Gentle Promise. I should do a re-read of The Hiding Place.
I hope you are staying cool. I live in the PNW. We are lucky! Almost everyday has been comfortable.

Debi, I love reading those books each season, too! They’re just so comforting!
It’s cooled off here this week. Last week I joined my grandsons in our little pool out back…no shame! It was HOT!! 😊
