BBQ Pork Pizza

When you have leftover barbecued pork from the huge Boston Butt you cooked, you could use it to make sandwiches, but then again you could make an incredible Barbecue Pork Pizza that resembles the sandwich on a whole other level!

This recipe was partly found and partly created. It’s the perfect mix of BBQ sandwich flavors in a pizza crust, complete with pickles!

Here how to assemble the pizza:

Make or purchase your favorite pizza crust. I used my grilled pizza dough recipe (but I baked it in the oven). I sprinkled the crust edges with coarse salt – a delicious addition! I baked my crust about half way through before adding the toppings.

Spread barbecue sauce over the crust. Top with shredded pork barbecue, dill pickle slices, red onion and then Mozzarella Cheese.

Bake until the crust is golden and the cheese melted.

We used Ranch Dressing as a dipping sauce because I had recently seen Ranch and Dill pickles flavored Lays potato chips! It was a yummy indulgence!

If you don’t have leftover pork, you could just purchase a half pound for this recipe. You’ll be glad you did!! This is a delicious variation from the standard pizza!

Leftovers never tasted do good!

What unusual flavors have you had on pizza?
