Where in the World? North Carolina & Georgia!

My husband used to say that his family moved so much that every time a U-Haul truck passed by, their furniture rattled! Well, we’re not moving, but recently we have traveled so much that I believe I could say

When the garage door opens, our suitcases rattle!

Last week took us to The Wilds of North Carolina for board meeting. It’s always a joy to hear what God is doing in this ministry that has impacted us so greatly!

Summer camp preparations are well underway! This is not camper housing! 😅 This is a prop for their Friendly Fuedin’ theme!

We left camp and headed to Georgia where Dale preached a Family Conference. What a wonderful time with the pastor and his wife, and also their precious church family!

We had many times of good fellowship, filled with edifying conversations and times of pausing to take needs before the Throne of Grace.

The people gladly received the Word of God. They also graciously received us, and we feel like we’ve left some dear friends behind.

We stayed in a lovely cottage, complete with a front porch swing. We had were able to recharge and rest after times of serving. The Lord is abundantly good to us, providing for every need before we even know it’s a need!

We also had the blessing of some “Scenic Route” adventures. On our way home we stopped in Clinton, SC. We browsed through the lovely antique store, and then went to the Pasture restaurant next door for lunch. Oh my, their lunch special was delicious and full of Southern comfort!

How thankful we are to be serving the Lord in these places. He fills our hearts with joy, and also gives us strength to do so.

Home is always a respite when we return. As they say –

The magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back”.

Where has the Lord taken YOU recently?
