I have a new episode on the Refresh Her Podcast today. I hope you’ll listen and also share it with others! If you’re dealing with difficult people, this episode will give you a fresh perspective!
Rather than blog about the podcast today, I’m sharing a little project that I did recently. While visiting New England last fall, I got to go to the King Arthur Flour Company. It’s a great place to eat lunch and to walk through! I purchased a lovely tea towel while there as a memory from our trip. When I got it home I found that it was huge! When I held it up, I realized that it would be perfect to use for something aside from wiping our wet hands!

So, I set to work to make an apron! At the top of the towel, I cut away the corners to angle it so it would fit my frame. I hemmed each side. Then, using a white fabric, I made a pocket.
Using the same white fabric, I made two ties for the waist, and a strap to go around my neck. I used buckles to secure the neck strap, rather than tying it.

It was so easy to make and it will last longer as an apron than a hand towel. It brings back such great memories of our time in New England!
If you have a large Tea towel like this, why not turn it into an apron? It makes a great keepsake!

A friend gave me a King Arthur tea towel for Christmas — one with various colors of tomatoes pictured on it. I just might think about turning it into an apron!
