Each week is filled with special little moments that make my busy days memorable. The best way for me to review the snapshots in my heart is to slide through my literal photos. I’m kind of obsessed with making sure I have a picture to document the things that are dear to me, and the treasured moments that I don’t want to forget.
As I looked through this week’s collection, it made me smile. There was so much beauty from the Lord’s hands as I’ve watched God gild the trees. As my husband and I took a drive one evening this week to see the leaves, I told him that I think I enjoy these autumn views more than Christmas lights because God did this!!

On my last day in Kentucky I took my mom to find some new readers. She always sports the cutest ones and looks adorable when wearing them! She is always on trend, too!
While we were together, she suggested we do some shopping at the Peddlers Mall – an antique mall with lots of fun booths. I managed to find some things for Alli – a collector of Fiesta Ware dishes, but also purchased a pie cookbook that just happens to have a recipe in it from the newspaper of my hometown! I can’t wait to try some of these pies in the holiday season!
This week I had the blessing of starting Bible Club back up with my grandsons. We used to meet weekly before they were in school, then things were too busy in their schedules to fit it in. However, we have found a day and time that seems to work for everyone and I was thrilled to pack up my bags and head to their house to begin a journey through the Bible with my sweet little guys. There was lots of chatter and plenty of laughter! I just hope that somewhere in between they gained some new understanding of their God, and of Jesus, the Head Crusher (Genesis 3:15)! I’m desiring to help them understand the timeline of the Bible and of the sweet Story of redemption that began in Genesis. They’re familiar with this because of their parent’s diligent instruction, but I pray I can reinforce these truths even more in their hearts. What a sweet privilege!

I love vignettes. I snapped this photo last night before small group. The pillows in the background are new ones I added to layer some “fall” textures and warmth to the room. They’re SO soft. I’m sure they’ll be a favorite for anyone who sits in the living room!
I’ll end with a kitty picture. Socks belongs to my grandsons and is the sweetest. Of course, she also “joined in” while we were having Bible club! I love that cats want to be a part of whatever is happening. I snapped this as I was getting ready to leave their house. It sure makes me miss my sweet Liza.
It’s been a great week, and now we head off to lead a marriage retreat this weekend at The Anchorage – a camp in NC. We’re excited to meet these couples and share truth that can strengthen their marriages!
I pray your weekend will be full of photo-worthy moments!
