Prepare yourself to oooh and ahhhh!
We ended our vacation last week with a stop at the Bilmore Gardens. My thoughtful husband knows how much I love flowers, so he surprised me by delaying our arrival home and taking a couple of hours to walk through the gardens, touch the blooms and breathe in deeply to enjoy all the sweetness of the fragrances.
Here’s a quick look at what we enjoyed:
English gardens are my favorite, and this depicts one so beautifully!
Look how heavily laden with roses the arbor below is!

The view from inside the arbor…
I learn lots when I walk through a place like this. The soft flowers and leaves look beautiful against a hard structure like the stone wall. Hmmm, I’m wondering how I can duplicate that in my yard (in a much simpler form, of course!)
I always wonder at our Creator and His design of each flower and tree. What will heaven be like? I can’t wait to see!
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
If you don’t have access to a park or garden like this, take a drive through a beautiful subdivision and get inspired to add flowers, trees and hardscapes to your yard!
