We’ve been on the road again this past week and we are so thankful for the ministry opportunities. What a blessing to encourage pastors and their wives, and also marriages and families! I’m learning that everyone has needs and burdens, some greater than others. It’s a joy to walk with them in their heartache, and also rejoice with those who are in a season to rejoice.

When we’re on the road, exercise can be difficult. We were so thankful to stay two nights at a hotel with a good exercise room! Our bodies sure needed it!

Another part of me that needs exercise is my Bible memory. I enjoy using the Bible memory app. You just type in the first letter of each word, making learning and reviewing very easy. Once it’s mastered, you have no words on the screen, but still only type the first letter of each word. I’m working on Proverbs 3 and it’s been a blessing! Meditation makes the scriptures soak into my soul. It “builds muscles“ in my spiritual life that I need!

We love driving the scenic routes to enjoy scenes like the one above. I’ve enjoyed the farms that dotted the landscape, the black dirt in the gardens in New York, and the Catskill Mountains. There’s so much beauty in every part of the country!

I just learned that it’s easy to hem a sweater! This cardigan was too long in the waist. I needed it two inches shorter to wear with dresses. I cut off the ribbed bottom and the extra length, then sewed it back on, going over it again with an overcast stitch. I’m so happy with the results! I got the instructions here.
This week’s podcast is about being a woman of godly character. I shared what she looks like and what attributes she displays. You can listen here. Each day I’m presented with opportunities to make a choice to be a woman of character or not. It’s seen in the little things, but they add up in a big way.
What are you learning? How is God at work in your life? What fun things have you gotten to do, or what burden are you bearing? I’d be happy to be able to pray for you.
