I can’t think of a better summer beverage than a glass of sweet iced tea. It’s quintessential of the south, in my book. How can you be southern and not serve/drink sweet tea?! It’s cold. It’s refreshing. It delicious.
There is one thing that makes sweet tea even better, and that is of course, fruit flavors. I love a lemon floating in my glass. I also enjoy my Dunkin Tea with a shot of raspberry flavoring!
I recently found a recipe for Tennessee Fruity Tea that has to be the most simple recipe ever, and makes sweet tea a little more special – especially for a hot summer day.
There are only three ingredients to this recipe – sweet tea, pineapple juice and orange juice! I’ve been serving this to the group of ladies I meet with on Wednesday’s at The Wilds. Because of the simplicity, it’s been wonderful to take with me and serve as a way to show some southern hospitality! Here’s how you make it:
Milo’s Sweet Tea
Pineapple Juice
Orange Juice
Fill a pitcher with a half gallon of Milo’s tea. Then fill one fourth of the pitcher with pineapple juice and one fourth with the orange juice. Mix and chill. I like to serve it with a berry or two in the glass. Voila! A delicious summer beverage in two minutes!
Are you a sweet tea lover? How do you spruce your tea up?
