A peek into my phone’s pictures reminds me of so many blessings this week – times of rest and refreshment and times to pour into my grandsons lives. Here are Five photos on this Friday…
My husband and I had the blessing of going away recently for one night to a lake near us. We took the time to plan out the year ahead. We studied, rested and played a few games. Yes, we made the most of every minute. It’s also awesome to wake up to a view like this…
My favorite part of being here is sitting at this window seat to read my Bible and pray. But my favorite thing about times like this is being away with the man I married. It’s so easy to get disconnected in busy lives of serving others that we forget to really spend time with one another. We need these little get-away’s for so many reasons. I’m so thankful for them and for a husband who also sees the need.
I make the very simple meals when we go to the lake, and being there makes even leftovers like the Gnocchi Soup we had for lunch taste like a meal from the finest restaurant!
We had the fun of keeping one of our grandsons one morning while his mommy and brother had an appointment. He got to “help” Pappa make coffee. “Train them up!” =)
Another morning was Craft time with Gigi that included hearts turned into Kitty cats. The boys loved it! So simple and so fun!
Do you take time to plan out the year ahead or to get away with your spouse from time to time? It’s so needed – even if you’re empty nesters!
Refresh your marriage by time away!
Sweet photos – love your grandson helping with the coffee:)
