Let’s Celebrate Valentine’s Day!

Here we are in the pretty dreary days of winter with the possibility of six more weeks ahead of us, however, we have the opportunity to add some sparkle and cheeriness to our homes, thanks to Valentine’s Day, just around the corner!

I’ve added just a few touches here and there. It’s nothing grand, but enough to change things up a bit in the entry way, living room and kitchen.

A few years ago, I found a wooden “X” and “O” marked way down at Hobby Lobby and realized they’d be perfect for Valentine’s Day! The heart banner came from Target a few years ago.
A side table holds a little stack of books – one about romantic trips and a “box” book called Love.
This is far from a perfect job on the chalkboard, but this is life, right? We don’t always get it right the first time, and that’s okay!
Red and white linens, cookie cutters and scrabble tiles are perfect decorations. Who says you need to go and buy things? Look around for heart shapes and Valentine colors in your kitchen. From the towel on the oven to the chalkboard on my pantry door, I think the love has been spread around!
Wooden hearts! 💕

I love searching on Pinterest for fun ideas for Valentine’s MONTH. You don’t have to wait and only celebrate on the 14th. Spread the holiday out to the full 28 days and add some cheeriness to your winter days! Here are some fun ideas I found ~

I’ve done many posts in years past about Valentine’s. Here are a few…

God’s love is eternal. As my chalkboard verse said, The greatest of these is love. I shared about that truth on a recent podcast. Anyone remember why love is greater than faith or hope?

Whether or not you have a Valentine, why not look for others with whom you could do some kind of loving gesture? Show the love of Christ by finding one of the activities above that would be a blessing to them.

Refresh those around you with some Valentine fun!
