Keep Summer Going Strong

I just can’t believe that many schools started back this week. In my heart we still have plenty of summertime left! I’m trying to enjoy it to the fullest. Here’s how I’m finishing out this season. Maybe it will inspire you to enjoy the last weeks before fall arrives.

Watching the sun set from the back porch (and gasping at God’s handiwork!)
Music on the Square, Jonesborough, TN. There’s nothing like listening to music outdoors! The beauty of the surroundings intermingles with the beauty of the summer night.
Iced Coffee! My favorite is Dunkin, cold brew with Almond Milk.
Icy treats with cute little boys at the swimming pool!
Outdoor reading in a hammock is the best!
This book by Susan Branch is full of great summer recipes!

Here are some other summer joys I’m loving…

  • Dinner on the patio
  • Devotions outside in the early morning
  • Picnic at the park
  • Impromptu stops for Ice cream!
  • Light, summer meals
  • Curtains open and light pouring in!
  • Farmer’s Market produce
  • Canning Fresh fruit and veggies
  • Star gazing

Every season is a gift. Enjoy this last month of summer, friends. A note of encouragement if your favorite is fall or Christmas – just go visit Hobby Lobby or Cracker Barrel – you’ll get both there right now! Yikes! 😲😂

Refresh the last of summer!

  1. We used to have concerts in the park here but they never came back after 2020. Yes! Hobby Lobby is loaded with Christmas decor…right along with fall and there spring line. Hahahaha!
Keep on enjoying those grandbabies . Before you know it they will be grown.
