Don’t Be Afraid to Switch Decor Around the House

Like a giant spider hanging from the ceiling, the fan in our bedroom was unnecessary and unsightly to me. We never use the fan because the room stays plenty cool. For all the years we’ve lived here, that fan was my least favorite “decoration” in the room!

I keep my eyes on the lighting fixtures at Lowe’s, waiting for a price reduction. Then one day I found one half off, and I knew it would be perfect in our house.

However, when it was time to hang the light, I realized it was a better size for the living room, and the living room’s fixture was better for our bedroom, Here’s a tip I had to learn – It’s tempting to keep everything in the same place or room where you initially put it, but you need to be open to moving it elsewhere. Whether it’s a light fixture or a cabinet, allow yourself to move it into to a different room.

An Unexpected Blessing

Adorned Study #11 – You can listen to this post here on Refresh Her podcast.

We had just left a social gathering and were driving home when my husband said to me, “So many women will not let their husband lead.” He didn’t mention what/who he was referencing, but just the observation he had made while we were at this gathering of people.

A long-distance friend on Facebook is engaged.  She wrote on her fiancé’s wall this week,

“You are so easy to love!”

Anyone who has been married for a month or two, knows that husbands AND wives don’t STAY easy to love; both need grace at times in order to love the other as we should!

Amazing Shrimp Tacos

We love a good taco at our house, and in recent years, we’ve come to especially love shrimp tacos. I’ve shared posts here about trying to replicate restaurant’s recipes where we’ve eaten.

I have just kept making little changes to improve my recipe. Last week I think I finally landed on our absolute favorite way to eat this fishy taco! The blessing is that it’s still very simple and also super fast! I’m excited to share the recipe with you!
