Managing Your Laundry

I’m half way through the day and I have done two loads of laundry, ironed linens and put them away, and also pressed our clothes for the weekend. Then I got brave and peeked into the clothes hampers in our closets. I saw more dirty clothes wadded and waiting for the the Laundry Lady (that’s me!) to rescue them from the basket and repeat the process of my earlier hours.

Flavorful Baked Chicken Fajitas Ready in 25 Minutes

I’m reposting an old recipe that is great when you need a delicious meal in a hurry. We love Mexican foods, and this dish is full of the kind of flavors we enjoy, plus it is very fast to make and is also a great do-ahead dish!  That alone makes it a perfect pick for a busy day!

Typically, fajita meats are grilled, which gives them great flavor, but for a meal that needs to be on the table quickly, it’s not always the best way to go.  I found this recipe on Chef in Training‘s web site (this is a great site!).  She found it on another site…and so on and so on!  There’s nothing new under the sun, but we must give credit where credit is due!  =)

I got to meet up and have lunch with my sweet friend. Days might be full, but we all need to make time for fellowship and friendship. I recently heard a message by Chuck Swindoll and he said,

“We come into church like marbles instead of grapes!”

In other words, we don’t let our lives mesh with others. I’m thankful for my grape friend who helps me not be a marble! Our time together enable us to connect far better than sending a text message! It was up close, personal and meaningful.

Maytag, Messes and Meals, Part 2 – Home Builders

This is the second post in the Maytag, Messes and Meals series. You can listen to it here on Refresh Her Podcast.

I recently saw an Instagram video of a house that had been flipped. The months of work were finished and it was beautiful. Not only was the structure beautiful, but so was each room! They had a professional stager come in and place furniture and decor in each room to make potential buyers see its possibilities.  It seemed to have everything, but one thing was lacking. In its present state, it is a pretty house, but it is not a home.

Hot Chicken Salad

Southerners love their chicken salad, and stick close to a tried and true recipe, perhaps handed down for generations. These are all wonderful, but friends, have tried Hot Chicken Salad? You haven’t lived until you do!

Earlier last week my hair dresser mentioned she’d had this dish at a restaurant, and I realized I hadn’t made it in years! Then it dawned on me that I had all the ingredients for this it in my fridge and pantry. I immediately knew what we would have for Sunday dinner!
