How Am I Supposed To Get Everything Done?


The week before Easter was one of those overwhelming kind of weeks.  There was so much to do, so much to prepare for, so much to finish up – on top of all my normal daily routines.  I felt like I needed to jump out of bed and start to work in order to accomplish it all!  I wondered as perhaps you often do –

How am I supposed to get everything done and still have time in God’s Word?

That question truly drove me to my knees in prayer, because I knew there was no way that I could come up with a plan that would work.  Yes, I added one more “thing to do” by stopping at my chair to read God’s Word, then drop on my knees to talk to the Lord about my busy day/week.  Continue reading “How Am I Supposed To Get Everything Done?”

How To Pray in the Busy Season of Life

When Susanna Wesley, the mother of ten children wanted to pray, she simply pulled her apron over her head.  Her family knew that when they saw her with her head covered they were not to disturb her.  I’d say she was serious about prayer!  She took whatever measures needed to find the time to talk to the Lord.

We’re all busy women, but in certain seasons, especially when children are home, it can be difficult to find the uninterrupted time to really pray.  I’d like to suggest a way for you to have this time with God if you’re in this busy season of life.  I’m going to share a few suggestions in the following video.  I trust it will challenge you to implement these ideas into your day.

Don’t Regret Today

I wrote this post four years ago, but its message is relevant today. Tell me if you agree.


“We were going  to do this”, and “We planned to do that, but it just never happened!” 

Have you found yourself saying that about things you had thought you might do this December?  I opened my Bible to Proverbs 27 and the first verse I read this morning was,

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
I found myself nodding my head vehemently and thinking, “Boy, that’s the truth!”
Just yesterday, I got up feeling well and thought I’d tackled a bunch of projects.  Things were going well until about 10am when my bones started hurting.  My fingers ached, my ribs hurt, then a headache began about the time the cough started.  Oh no, the dreaded flu!  I was down all day and night.  Gone were the things I’d hoped to do.  At this point I didn’t even care that…
