When Fall Comes Home

As fall officially hits the calendar next week, I’ve added some fall touches to my home in the same way that the autumn season approaches…slowly. While I dislike the shorter days, there is so much to love about this season. Let me show you what I’m enjoying about fall in my home.

My upstairs family room window is the perfect place to sit in the morning. The sunrise, the countryside views, and my autumn accents on this old oak table put off a beautiful fall vibe.

Along with the sights of autumn, I love the fragrances! Apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin, coffee…they all run me to the fall months. A sweet friend gifted me with this beautiful pumpkin candle and I can’t wait to burn it! The soft ambiance and the fragrance will add so much of the autumn season to our living room!

My husband brought home these gorgeous yellow and orange roses…how perfect for this season! On the tray you can see that another friend gifted me with Strawberry-Fig jam. Those cherry tomatoes are from our vines, still giving the sweetest offerings for our salads.

Artwork is another fun way I like to change the season in my home. I replaced the Hydrangea watercolor with a barn painting.

On my porches, I’ve changed out the pillow covers for autumn ones (so much better than buying pillows for every season!). I also love using the Fall Quilt that was given to me years ago from my mother-in-law. Sitting/napping on that swing on cool evenings is the best!

As I write this, I’m mixing up Apple Cider Donuts, (recipe coming!) so fall foods have also made their way into our home. I’m not sad about that! If you’re hungry for fall flavors, try these Baked Pumpkin Donuts…they’re amazing!

As our fall ministry gears up for our second weekend, I’m headed to a church event in SC for a ladies’ day on Saturday. I’d sure appreciate your prayers for wisdom, strength, and for the Lord to do a special work in our time together. Thank you!

Happy Autumn!
