How Can a Forgetful Person Memorize Scripture?

I can’t remember ANYTHING so there’s no way I can memorize Scripture.

I hear statements like this from people all the time. The truth is, I totally understand being forgetful! If I don’t park in the same area of the grocery store parking lot each time, I forget where my car is. If I don’t write down what I need to accomplish, I leave off important things! I’m horrible at remembering names. I think most all of us can relate to not having a good memory! So then, should we just abandon the idea of memorizing God’s Word since it seems impossible?

Refresh Yourself by Taking Time to Slow Down

Have you ever gotten to the end of summer and said, “We never went swimming this summer!” Or, “We never made homemade ice cream!” There are so many fun things to do each season, but often we don’t stop and make plans to include the activities we love and then we miss out on those little pleasures that enrich our lives. • We don’t make a plan to do what we love!

I’m guilty of all of the above! However, I’m really trying to be more intentional to slow down each day and do something just for the fun of it. I’ve found that when I do take
