Men, Women, and the Fall – What Really Changed?

You can find the podcast here on RefreshHer podcast.

Have you ever stopped to consider the intentional design of God when He created Adam and Eve? What strengths did He give them in order to help them thrive in their roles?

The continuation of the subject of Biblical womanhood zooms in on the creation of the man and the woman. We learn in Genesis 2:15, 18-24 that there were some differences in God’s purpose for Adam and Eve.

Easy Summer Dinners: No-Cook and Slow Cooker Recipes

On these hot days in late summer, making supper without heating up the kitchen can be a challenge. I want to provide a delicious meal, but I want to do it without standing at an outdoor grill or without a 375 degree oven causing the air conditioners to work extra hard.

My best tool on these days is the crock pot. While talking with Whitney this past weekend, she was remarking at how many recipes done in the slow cooker include ingredients like creamed soups. In my opinion, those kind of recipes add calories, sodium, and a dish that’s too heavy for a 90 degree day.

Why Am I Not Getting Things Accomplished At Home?

Have you ever felt discouraged that the long list of things that need your attention in your home aren’t getting done?

Perhaps there never seems time to get that laundry washed and folded. Or that paint you purchased for your bedroom is still sitting unopened. Maybe you had good intentions for your yard this summer, but the weeds are the only thing growing out back. The struggle is real and I can relate.

Biblical Womanhood – What It is

Much more content will be found on the RefreshHer Podcast.

Why do we even need a lesson in biblical womanhood? This past month I have witnessed –

  • A mom wondering about how to educate her daughter, fearful of the world’s philosophies that she might learn in public educational system.
  • A mom thinking about adult daughter moving away – saying how weird she is feeling so emotional at her going or at her staying!
  • Older woman got married after her husband left her 7 years ago.
  • Two young teen girls walking hand in hand through a store.
  • An older woman caring for her aging husband.
  • A woman in 30’s longing to be married.
  • A person in the store – half head was shaved, half long, beard on one side, smooth on the other.
  • Rainbows everywhere having nothing to do with God’s judgment on a world of wickedness in Noah’s day.
  • Social media, advertisements, political figures,  our school system and world in general shout wrong messages and agendas.

All this makes it obvious we need to answer the question, “What does it mean to be a woman?”!

Tips For An Organized Spice Cabinet

This weekend I had a couple hours when my love for organizing and my love for cooking collided. It was a needed collision! My spice cabinet that had been in good order at one time, had sadly gotten out of hand. It made my cooking more difficult, and I even found that I sighed inwardly any time I needed to search for a spice.

It was a happy little mess!

Here’s the other side of the mess cabinet.
