Let me share with you some fun things I’ve done during this very full week!
The biggest activity that was most time and thought consuming was Vacation Bible School. Wow! Our church blew the doors out with decorations, games, crafts, snacks and powerful Bible teaching!! Jesus loves children and tells us not to forbid them to come to Him.  I loved that these children heard the Gospel over and over each night as the journeyed from the opening assembly, their class time, snacks, crafts and games. What a blessing. It’s been exhausting, but we pray there will be spiritual fruit that will bring glory to our wonderful God!
Let me show you a few pictures.
My class of 5-6 year olds on the first night…

Our group grew each night! I co-taught with another younger woman and we also had several others that were helping hands (they were all needed!) What a blessing to have a room full of children. Even though they stretched our abilities to control their energy, we are grateful for the blessing of sharing the Gospel with them!
We raced around the world to meet all the people in the human race, created in the image of God. How did we get to each continent? We flew, of course!

We learned about melanin, the coloring that gives us each a different shade of brown skin. The children saw a visual with colored cake batter, made up of the same ingredients, only with more or less coloring in the bowls.

God sees us all the same and loves each person as much as the next!
We crafted…

We ate foods from all over the world!

We were so busy each day that my sweet husband made sure to help me get some rest so I’d be ready for 6:00 when we started another 2 1/2 hours of fun (and exhaustion!). He took me to lunch one day, insisting that I was not going to cook! We went to one of our favorite local fish restaurants (Riverside), asked for a table at the window, and got to eat lunch, spend time together and enjoy this view of a family walk just outside our window!

I also managed to get a little craft done this week. I needed a wreath for summer. I found this cute little conversation bubble at Hobby Lobby and knew it would be perfect for a wreath! It was 75% off, making it under $4!

I added white fabric flowers to accent the coral door and the flowers that are growing in my yard outside.

Here’s a close-up of the “wreath.”

What other message could you say to your guests at your door but, “Hi!?” If it’s nothing else, it’s unique!!
What fun things have you been up to this week? Do you scour the 75% off aisle at Hobby Lobby for unique finds?
Refresh your weekend with something fun!
