Outfits to Transition from Summer to Fall

Packing for a trip, no matter how small is my least favorite thing to do, especially when the seasons are transitioning. “Will it be hot in the day and cool at night? Will I need a jacked? Will it be too hot for jeans? Is a dress too cool for the evening?” These are the kind of questions that I think about when choosing what to pack.

I’m going on a “girl’s trip” with my daughters this weekend, so I’ve been selecting what I’ll need for our three days and two nights together. I’m sharing the outfits today in hopes that you’ll get some inspiration for these warm/cool days of the early fall!

Comfy “out shopping” outfit.

I tried to think layering. I can start out in the morning with a jacket or sweater on, then remove it when it heats up in the day.

I will be doing quite a bit of travel this fall, so having pictures on my phone of outfits that will work will help when it’s time to pack for the next trip! It’s almost like creating a Capsule Wardrobe for the season.

Speaking of traveling – my reason for several trips are retreats where I’ll be serving. I will share a few of the events where I’ll be speaking this fall, and winter in case you’re in the area and would like to attend.

Ironwood CampOctober 19-21
Mt. Airy Bible Church – November 4
Anchorage CampJanuary 19-20

I’d love to see you at any of these events!

Spiritual application – Although I hate the packing process, I do enjoy getting creative with my wardrobe. Are you refreshing this fall season by packing away fresh truths from God’s Word? You can’t “wear” the summer revival through the fall and winter. It’s time to draw fresh manna from God’s Word to equip you, guide you and instruct you in this season.

If you would like to jump on board reading through the New Testament, The Bible Recap is a chronological reading plan that will begin with the Gospels on October 1st. That would be a great time to join and finish this year reading the New Testament!

How do you transition your wardrobe from summer to fall? What items do you try to incorporate? What new Truths from God’s Word are you meditating on?

Refresh the fall season with God’s Word…and outfits you love!
