Make Ahead Breakfasts and Supper
Read this post if you want to…
- Make daily meal prep easier
- Prep food for a special event or vacation
- Be prepared for a busy day
Last week I shared about our family vacation and that we ate our meals in our condo. It was simplified in that my girls and I divided up the meals and volunteered to fix the food for that meal. I chose to make the breakfasts for all three days, and also for our Sunday supper. I didn’t want to spend lots of time cooking while we were there, so I prepped as mush as I could ahead of time and stuck it in the freezer, wrapped so it would be fresh.
Let me share what I made and how I worked ahead to simplify things.
Prep For the Day Before Thanksgiving!
I shared with you last week that my family had an early Thanksgiving. We celebrated last week, due to a family need. People are the most important part of our traditions and celebrations, so putting my parents’ needs first, simply meant we would celebrate the holiday a couple weeks early with our daughters and their families.

You know what? It was really great to be doing this holiday ahead of time!
Cook Once; Eat Two (or 3) Times!

I love to cook, however, that doesn’t mean I like to slave in the kitchen every single day! I love to eat good meals that are fresh and delicious, too, so that means when I AM in the kitchen, I like to make good use of that time in ways that will help me for future meals!
I thought I”d show you how I have recently cooked foods that allowed me to have DIFFERENT meals using things I cooked earlier. Say no to Leftovers! These are fresh, different meals each time they’re served!
