Make One Sandwich – Feed the Whole Family

Do you remember Dagwood and his infamous sandwiches?

They were stacked a mile high and secured with a toothpick.  Ever since his infamous concoctions, Americans have packed bread with all kinds of meats and cheeses in similar fashion.

Another sandwich closely linked to it is the Sub Sandwich.  Instead of being piled high, it’s stuffed into a long loaf of bread.  One long loaf easily feeds a family!

Last night at church we had a sandwich fellowship time and I decided to make a sub sandwich, inspired by an old Kraft Cookbook of mine.  I am calling mine the Grand Slam Sub Sandwich in honor of it being summer, and also a real “hit” as a crowd pleaser!  Continue reading “Make One Sandwich – Feed the Whole Family”

Every person on the planet has a need to be encouraged. We all struggle with something – maybe it’s wondering if you’re able to do a task, if you’re making a difference for Christ, if you’re progressing in your spiritual life, or if you’re smart enough to go to college.

My Recent New Favorites

I love it when people find a great product and then share it with me!  So let me do the same favor for you on this Friday post! All these products are under $10 and most are way under that!

  1. Izzio Half Bread Loaves – Recently my mom told me about half loaves of bread she’d purchased at Kroger.  Since there are only two people that live at our house now, it can take a while to finish a loaf of bread.  Eight pieces is perfect!  Also, each slice has only 15 grams of carbs, which is close to half the amount of most breads!  But the real reason I love these breads is because they’re delicious!!  This sour dough is so good toasted in the morning!
