Proverbs 27 describes attributes of a true friend, and we clearly see these in the way Christ responds to us. By looking at these characteristics, we can also glean ways we should be responding to and treating our earthly friends. Cooking for One or Two
We are so blessed to have so many great resources for wonderful, yummy recipes to fix, but there is a problem. Most recipes make enough to feed a whole family. Therefore, if you’re a single person, empty-nesters or a young couple without children, you can end up with enough leftovers of that one dish to make you never want to eat that food. ever. again!
I thought it would be good to give those needing smaller portions some ideas today to help cook great meals without having leftovers for a week. Ready?

How Can a Forgetful Person Memorize Scripture?
I can’t remember ANYTHING so there’s no way I can memorize Scripture.
I hear statements like this from people all the time. The truth is, I totally understand being forgetful! If I don’t park in the same area of the grocery store parking lot each time, I forget where my car is. If I don’t write down what I need to accomplish, I leave off important things! I’m horrible at remembering names. I think most all of us can relate to not having a good memory! So then, should we just abandon the idea of memorizing God’s Word since it seems impossible?

Side Dishes That Take Center Stage
Yesterday for Mother’s Day I had the joy of inviting my daughter and her family to our home for dinner. She’s a busy mom with little guys, and I felt like she needed a break. It was such a fun time together. The menu was important because we are “foodies!” We want to have delicious food, worthy the occasion. We decided I’d make the meal and she would make dessert! I was excited already!
