Low Calorie Pineapple-Orange Cake

I have recipe today that is FAST, DELICIOUS and incredibly EASY! How about 2-ingredients for the cake? Yep, two. T-W-O! Cake mix and crushed pineapple is all it takes for the cake portion of this recipe. The icing has more – it has THREE ingredients! Another good thing about this yummy, moist cake is that it is a light dessert. It’s not calorie-free, of course, but compared to most cakes, this one is reduced in sugar and fat.

Organization for Hair Tools

Whether it’s in the kitchen, bathroom or bedroom, I love having my tools ready and at my fingertips so that my work is made easier. However, I’ve found it so difficult to keep them neat and organized. I had this issue in my bedroom where I store all my hair tools – dryer, round brush, curling iron and styling spray. I had thrown them all into a small basket and every time I’d get one out, it would be tangled up with the others. The cords stuck out like serpents, wriggling all over the place. What to do?

But Are You Prudent?

I’m sharing in today’s new podcast episode an embarrassing time when prudence was sorely lacking in my decision making. What does it mean to be prudent anyway? The Scriptures give a clear picture of how we can display it, and also what it looks like when it is lacking! Proverbs 22:3 says,

Charcuterie Board Fellowship

Let’s face it, we can all get into a rut when it comes to what we eat. Even group fellowships can fall into a routine that isn’t nearly as fun as it should be!

Last week our small group broke out of the traditional meals (Mexican, Italian, Pizza, etc) and had a Charcuterie Board meal! Everyone was instructed to go check out some ideas on Pinterest and bring a board that would be suitable for supper. Here’s a pic of all the boards spread on my kitchen counter…

We had a Salad Board, Cheese and Meats, Fruits and Veggies and other fun additions. No one left hungry!

I decided to do a Baked Potato Board with all the fixings, as well as a Fruit and Chocolate Board.

February Fun!

For a the shortest month of the year, February was certainly full AND fun! I thought I’d share the highlights with you today as we wrap up this last full week.

Paint – We had all of the downstairs of our house painted (except my husband’s office). After 9 1/2 years of living here, it really needed to be freshened up! I chose to cover the original khaki color with WHITE! It’s called, Blue Kiss. It has slight cast of blue in the white, rather than gray, brown or yellow. I love it! It really brightens the rooms up. I chose a semi-gloss and love how it reflects the light. I know it’s going to be easier to clean as well.
